The firm’s compliance procedures require that Client Identification, Client/Matter Inception and Conflict Search forms are submitted in order to a) to authorise the setup of a new client/matter on the firm’s practice management system and b) to provide the necessary data to do so.

These forms were completed by hand - a frustrating and time consuming process for all, particularly as some information was repeated in each form. The manual process often resulted in the submission of incomplete data - and a subsequent delay in processing the new client/matter - or in inaccurate information being recorded on the system.

To improve the speed of production, accuracy of information and legibility of the forms.

IOS have re-designed the forms and developed user-friendly dialog screens for input.

Wherever possible, information is pre-filled (with existing data from the IOS InterAlia system) or selected from Microsoft Access driven drop-down lists. System checks are in place to ensure that mandatory information is completed before allowing the user to process the next element.

The ID and Conflict Search forms and the input method have been designed to allow maximum flexibility to accommodate the processing of any number of individuals against a single client.

The ability to create these forms in Word has significantly improved their turnaround time, accuracy and overall quality.
